About this experience

Little Sprouts: A Garden Class for children aged 3-5 and their caregivers
Little Sprouts is a monthly class designed to foster a love and sense of wonder for the outside world in your child. Each month, we will explore a seasonal theme through a 5-senses garden walk, story-time, a hands-on craft or activity, and a take home kit. Little Sprouts is the most fun outdoors, so come prepared for the weather! (In the event of inclement weather, we will have an indoor location).
Feel free to bring your own snack for story-time!
This class is geared towards preschool age students.

November Theme: My First Winter Hike!
Join Garden Educator Libby for a winter hike along the Charles! Hiking with children can start small - like this 1/2mile walk along the Charles River right here at Elm Bank. As we take in our surroundings with our 5senses we will collect special forest treasures. We will read a story and have a snack on the trail, then head back to our classroom for an indoor art project. Families will take home "Spending Time Outside in Winter with Children - Tips and Tricks" and fun hiking activities to do with your little ones. Let's hit the trail!
This hike is designed for children 3-5 years old. Please come dressed to spend up to 1hr outside. Need help gearing up? Send us an email and we can give advice for preparing to spend 1hr outside in winter with your little one. Rain date: Nov. 12 & 14.

Pre-registration is required for supply prepperation. Each registration is good for one child and one adult. Adults need to be present to assist children with activities.
